Jeroboams choose Smarter Grower Champagne . . .

Jeroboams is London’s largest independent Wine Merchant; it focuses on the sale of a wide selection of fine wines and Champagnes.

Following a recent tasting at its prestigious offices, Jeroboams chose one of Smarter Grower Champagne’s suppliers, to complement the Jeroboams 2013 portfolio.

Champagne Jacquinot & Fils’ “Private Cuvée Brut” was chosen and will be available from the Jeroboams from April 2012.

Champagne Jacquinot et Fils has been producing wines for over 80 years and additionally provides grapes to Moët & Chandon from their vineyards in the Côte des Bar.

Pierre Jacquinot commercially developed the family vineyard, which dates back to the French revolution, just after First World War; at the same time establishing Champagne Jacquinot & Fils as a grape broker and Champagne wine merchant.

Today, the tradition is continued by Jean-Manuel Jacquinot. Trained away from the family firm, in some of the big Houses, Jean-Manuel qualified with a National Diploma in oenology and viticulture at the University of Reims. After travelling much of the world as a consultant oenologist and winemaker, Jean-Manuel finally took up the reins at the family business in 1998; bringing a uniquely different approach to wine making when compared to his forebears.
